God of Mercy, God of Grace,
You have kept watch over us with tenderness
throughout the hours of the night,
and we awaken secure within your protection:
All our thanks and praise we offer before You.
Help us see clearly with generous and forgiving hearts, O Redeemer,
remembering the abundant grace that we receive,
the foundation of our life in You.
In your mercy, guide us, O God, in faithfulness and love,
that we renounce the leanness of spirit
that leads us toward selfishness and inaction
in the face of suffering and want.
Help us to treat each other with love, generosity, and kindness,
as we ourselves hope to be treated,
dedicating ourselves to the Gospel of Love.
Spirit of the Living God,
strengthen us in wisdom, hope, and faith,
that our lives testify to God’s wondrous acts throughout creation.
Beloved Savior,
breathe your spirit of healing and reconciliation upon us,
and place the seal of your blessing in those we now name.
