God of Abundant Grace, your steadfast hand

guides and upholds us, in joy and in struggle.
You, O Most Holy One, are our covert and our shield,
our very present help when we call upon You.

Let us declare your faithfulness with a glad cry,
and sing out our testimony
to the transforming love of our Creator and Redeemer.
Let us seek the good road of wisdom and compassion,
that we may not disgrace your name,
but imitate our Savior in word and deed.

Lord Jesus, place your healing hand upon us:
relieve the suffering
by the tender warmth of your embrace.
May your voice of justice and mercy
resound throughout the earth,
calling the lost and weary to your side,
O Shepherd of Our Souls.

By the power of the Holy Spirit,
bless and consecrate us this day,
and pour out your grace and hope

Lord of Life and Light,

we thank You for watching over this world
as it has turned from day to night.
We thank You for watching over us
as we rested through the night,
and we lift our hearts to you in the gathering light.

We bow the knee of our hearts,
confessing our failings
and the times we have hurt others
through carelessness or fear.

Guide us in the spirit of gentleness and faith
to see the beauty of your imprint in all we see
in the rosy light of dawn.
Give us healing hands and compassionate hearts:
help us to see ourselves
in the plight of those in trouble.
Help us to choose healing over hurt,
and unity over division,
and hope over despair.

Lord Jesus,
abide within our hearts,
and set our feet
upon the paths of peace and justice.

Anoint us by your love, O Holy One,

With joy, we come before your altars, O God
and lift our voices in song and praise

for your saving love!
Bread of Life, you offer yourself to us
for the life of the world:
strengthen us in wisdom
to abide in you, and you in us, Blessed Jesus.
There is no place we find ourselves
that you are not our companion and shepherd, Lord:
for God so loved the world
and all of us within it
that we are given your Son in reconciliation and love.
By your grace, redeem us, O Savior,
and unify us to serve the cause of love always.
Merciful God, by the power of the Holy Spirit,
purify us and consecrate us, we humbly pray,
and place the hand of blessing
over all whose hope is in You.

Blessed Savior,
God of All Mercy, we gather before You in joy and gratitude,
drawn before your altars to sing your praises.
May we make our hearts fertile fields
to produce abundant love and healing for the world.
May we receive your gospel, Lord,

Eternal God, we open the doors of our hearts:

O Lord, You are our shepherd;
help us to be better sheep.

When You give us green pastures,
help us to be grateful and not refuse to eat.

When You lead us beside still waters,
help us quiet our souls and be refreshed.

When our cups run over,
help us not to obsess about the mess

but shout for joy at the abundance
you give us always. 

When You lead us to right pathways,
help us not to be hardheaded and go astray.

When we are in the darkest valley,
help us to remember that You are ALWAYS with us.

When you spread a table before us
in the presence of our enemies,

help us invite them to join us,
that their hearts may be turned by love.

Help us to stop bleating long enough
to hear Your voice calling us to You.

May we remember that your goodness and mercy
follow all of us all the days of our lives

Prayer, Day 3007: For Earth Day

Creator of the Universe,
who is making Heaven and Earth,
let all that lives tell out your glory.

Rocks and hills,
ocean depths and craggy peaks,
the wind that caresses them,
all join to sing out your Holy Name.

You planted your holy song, O Lord,
in laughing brook and rambling river
fed by rain before time.

Murmuring grass and field of wheat
whisper “Alleluia!”
as the beauty of the Lord passes by.

Thunder and rain, summer sun and shadow
work together with soil and seed
to prepare a table in the wilderness by your will.

The works of your Hand, O Mighty One,
testify to your steadfast kindness and mercy:
You crown all you see as good.

Forgive us for our trespasses against each other,
and against the Earth, our mother,
for seeking to hoard her riches
and denying her integrity.

May we walk gently upon this Earth,
that bears us like a chariot through space,
upheld by your wondrous Love.

May we care for all creation,
being dedicated and blessed by You,
called to serve its renewal and guard its unity.

By the power of the Holy Spirit,
she that moved over the waters of creation,
the waters of birth and life,
renew and recreate in us
a reverence for the Earth and all her inhabitants.

Help us to recognize you, Beloved Jesus,

and then carry the testimony of your grace

Come, Holy One,
shine the light of your truth
into the depths of our hearts,
that we may be cleansed of all fear and anger,
and seek to walk in your integrity.

Lord Jesus, we know your abundant grace and mercy:
let us bear those gifts into the world,
and live out your lovingkindness in all we do.

We abide under the refuge of your wings, O God:
may we ever remember
your seeking us and rescuing us
from the famine in our hearts and souls.

Therefore, let us walk in love:
in kinship with the hurting and the seeking,

Most Merciful God,
we rejoice to gather around your altar
and worship You in spirit and truth today.

We hear You, O God,
tenderly calling our names,
and our feet are now standing in your courts:
we hear, and rejoice in your light.

Teach us to let go of the resentments and fears
that weigh us down, O Holy One.
Lead us to the love of each other, Lord Jesus,
and to dedicating ourselves
toward the relief of poverty, suffering, and hopelessness,
to the securing of abundance for all.

Teach us to mend the cords of love
that unite us as one, O Savior,
and live lives of mercy and healing.

Bless us and consecrate us, Lord,
to be vessels of your abundant grace and mercy,
that we may live into your call to us;

our spirits are restless until they abide in You.

With joy we gather at your altar today
answering your call, O Savior, and seeking your truth
that we may live into your dream for us,
united as your beloved children.

Help us to see your face, Lord Christ,
in each and every person,
your beauty in every blade of grass,
your voice in the wind stirring the winter fields.

Make us people of light and bearers of joy, O Holy One,
