Prayer 2624: Palm Sunday

Come among us, Blessed Savior:
may we shout Hosanna and praise your grace!

Come, be our help,
as we seek your face in the humble,
in those hungry for justice
from the One Who Brings Hope to Us.
Unfurl your blessing before us
as a palm frond bursts forth from the trees,
and raise up a shout of glory!

May we lay down the cloak of suspicion
with which we shroud our hearts,
and instead shout for joy as you are revealed among us.

May we be led to embrace your truth:
that we all are called beloved,
as you minister to us in tenderness,
O Holy One of God.

Accept our praise, O Merciful One;
unify us in faith and compassion
as we ask your blessing
to enfold those for whom we pray.

Amen.

Prayer, day 2268: Palm Sunday

Lord Jesus,
we raise our shouts of praise to you,
and bless your holy name.
May we never forget to sing out your wondrous love and mercy,
but lift our hearts to you always.
May we always proclaim that you, Lord, are Messiah,
and seek to be your disciples in word and deed.
May we always follow you in times of joy and in times of testing,
as you lead us and uphold us in times of blessing as well as struggle.
Lord, we make our humble supplications before you:
bless and heal us, and those we now name.

Prayer 1884: For Palm Sunday

Lord Jesus Christ,
we gather together to praise your Name
with a glad shout of hope:
accept our prayers and praises as we worship you in unity.

Make us worthy disciples
to follow your way of loving, compassionate sacrifice, Lord,
that we may embody your example in the world.
May we serve You and each other, O God,
with humility and joy, grateful for all You have done for us.
Anoint us by your Holy Spirit
with wisdom and grace
that we may work for the reconciliation of the world.

Holy One, shine the light of your countenance upon us,
and all those for whom we pray.

Amen.
