Almighty One, you have borne us up and preserved us through the night: we thank You and we bless You for your mercy and care. We thank You for tenderly ministering to us when we have been adrift in sorrow or grief. We thank You for your beloved community that strengthens us and welcomes us as a taste of your heavenly kingdom. Make us one in the Spirit of Righteousness and Truth, and make us instruments of your peace. Give us endurance to run the race before us, and compassion for those who suffer or are oppressed. Send your angels to bend tenderly over those who lie in sickness or despair, or who shoulder burdens that seem overwhelming.
Amen.
