and Earth rings out its joy and praise:
come, let us join in the song to our Creator.
We rise from our beds
with a prayer in our hearts:
that this day be holy,
and that we live in amity with each other.
Bless and keep us, Lord Christ,
secure in your embrace
and strengthened by your gospel of compassion.
Blessed Jesus,
you know the worries and cares
we bear in our hearts:
we thank You for walking beside us,
your arm around us.
Ease our fears,
that we may be generous to strangers
and compassionate to those in need or distress.
Pour out thy healing and comfort
to all who suffer any grief, pain, or anxiety,
O Eternal One,
especially those we now name.
