Most Merciful One,
your lovingkindness has sustained us
through the watches of the night,
and by your grace we feel the warmth of a rising sun:
may we center this day within your service.
May we always live out the beauty of your gospel,
and embody your compassion and healing
within the cracked and shattered places that we encounter
in ourselves
and the world around us.
Grant your benediction, we pray, O Lord,
on all whose hope is in you,
and strengthen us to be your reconciling hands in the world.
We ask your comfort to rest, Lord Christ,
on those whose cares we lift before you.
