Prayer 2237

O God, You Abide with us
in sunshine or shadow,
in tempest or peace,
our constant companion and protector.
May we worship You in holiness
and live out your commandment of love in our lives.

We ask your forgiveness, O Merciful One,
for our failure to love and honor You
even as your sheltering hand is upon us,
and for our failure to turn our hearts
to the ways of true justice, wisdom, and compassion.
But your mercy is as broad as the celestial plain,
and your grace is the foundation of our lives:
Lord Christ, strengthen us in faith,
and help us turn again to embodying your truth.

Lord of Life,
Spirit of Healing,
we entrust into your care
all the concerns we bear in our hearts,
and ask your peace to rest upon all whose hope is in You.
