Prayer 1935: Inspired by Ephesians 3:14-21

God of Love,
we bend the knees of our hearts before You,
offering to You our praise and thanksgiving,
trusting in your promises of mercy and steadfast love.
Your love, Lord Christ, surpasses all knowledge,
all ability of our poor tongues to tell the wonders
of your Spirit of Wisdom working within us
for the sake of redemption and peace.
Yet may we ever testify with our actions
to the power of Christ's love and healing in the world.

Beloved Jesus, may we make our hearts
a worthy habitation for you,
a garden blooming with compassion and integrity,
rooted in love and grounded in faith.
Work your power within us,
O blessed Savior and Redeemer,
to prosper the reconciling work of our hearts in the world;
sanctify our labors to the glory of God,
that your Name be glorified by all the Earth.

Grant your blessing upon those who seek You, O Holy One,
and shine the light of your countenance upon those for whom we pray.
