Almighty God,
You have set the stars in their courses
and placed your seal on our hearts:
shine the light of your countenance upon us today
as we live more deeply into your word.
May we be peacemakers and seekers of justice,
empowered by the Spirit
to stand alongside the outcast and the suffering.
May we draw deeply of your grace, mercy, and love, O Christ,
that we seek to restore and reconcile the broken spaces
within ourselves and between others.
Grounded in your truth, O Merciful One,
may hope and healing trail behind us
in our journey through this day.
Precious Savior, bless us to walk in your ways this day,
and grant your abundant peace and light
to those whose needs we lift before you.
