Prayer 1741: On All Saints' Day

Blessings and honor be upon You,
Our God and Our Shield,
whose mercy is everlasting.
You hold our souls in life and beyond,
making sure our footing,
never allowing our feet to slip.

The work of your hands is justice and redemption,
and your love never fails, O Blessed Jesus.
You have called us out of darkness
into light everlasting:
may we abide with You, Lord, for ever.

Lead us, O Spirit, into wisdom,
for you are our companion and protector
even in shades of night.
Unite us, O Holy One,
into your great cloud of witnesses,
that we may praise You with one heart,
one voice.

Strengthen us by your saving hand,
that we may persevere in faith,
and dwell in your house forever, Lord Christ.
Merciful God, accept our praise and our prayers:
anoint the hearts of those
whose concerns we lay before You.

Amen.
