Lead us, O Holy One,
with the banner of your love ever before us.
Guide us to the pathways of peace,
paved with justice and mercy,
smoothed by the pilgrim feet
that have gone before us.
Strengthen us for this day's journey,
that we may not turn aside
or falter in doing your will.
Help us bridge the chasms that divide us,
and be united in love and brotherhood.
Give us wisdom
gentled by compassion,
that we may show out your glory in all we do.
Turn our hearts to the concerns of those
in pain, suffering, anxiety, or want.
Press your healing hand
upon the brow of each beloved child
who calls out to you.
