With a song in my mouth
and a glad cry in my heart
I rise this morning
to breathe in your presence,
O Holy One.
God of mercy,
hear my prayer,
and let it rise
with those who seek you.
Grant me
an understanding and humble spirit,
that I may walk in the way of Christ
with love.
Settle your Holy Spirit
on those whose needs we lay before You, O God,
especially those we now name.
Amen.
