Holy God, draw us to You this day. Awaken in us a new understanding of all our blessings, and drive far from us all fear and anxiety. Help us work for justice and peace, and open our hearts and souls to You and to each other. Holy One, help us recall that we are made in your image, each of us, and help us never give up on ourselves. Merciful God, help us cultivate mercy and forbearance in our hearts; that we may see and know fully. Through faith, O God, help us remove the cataracts of suspicion and hatred from our eyes. Lord Christ, may we remember your unfailing love for us, and hold fast to your guiding and healing hand. Holy Spirit, we invite You into our hearts, and ask that you comfort those whom we now name.
