Most Merciful God,
place your hand of blessing upon us,
and fill us with the flame of your love,
that we may drive out the forces of darkness.
May our lives today witness to your Love,
and our hearts be filled with loving kindness
that we may broadcast your truth within us.
May we welcome your creating, verdant Spirit
to overshadow us and overfill us,
that we may be refreshed and renewed
in faithfulness and courage
to bear your gospel forward in joy.
Extend the shelter of your compassion
over all who cry out for help, we humbly pray,
and give your angels charge over those
whose needs we lift before you.
