Prayer, day 2374

Lord Jesus Christ, we kneel before You in thanks for this day.
Forgive us our sins, O God, we humbly pray,
and guide us into new pathways of peace and mercy
for your love's sake.
Bring us into a new fellowship of faith and hope,
and drive far from us all division and fear.
You, Lord, bid us sit down and eat:
open our eyes to see your abundant blessings all around us.
As you multiplied the loaves and fishes
to feed the multitudes,
feed us with your grace and peace,
satisfying our souls.
Pour out your Spirit upon us, O God,
that we may reflect the light of love and healing
into the darkest corners of the world.
We turn to You, O Holy One,
for your healing touch:
place the balm of your blessing upon all who call upon You.

Amen.

Prayer, day 2184: 2nd Sunday After Pentecost C

Arise my soul
and give to the Holy One thanks and praise,
who has carried me in safety throughout the night
and sheltered me within the tenderness of God's embrace.

Beloved Savior,
you provide for us abundantly,
teaching us and leading us in compassion and mercy:
may we walk in your ways with mindfulness and faith.

As you turned the water into wine in Cana, Lord,
so turn our hearts from stone to flesh,
that we may produce abundant love in the world.
May we serve You, Blessed Jesus,
as we care for each other,
seeking out the lost and the hurting,
the oppressed and the fearful,
standing alongside those in need
as one body.

Spirit of the Living God,
fill us to overflowing with your grace and truth,
and pour out your blessing and comfort
on those for whom we pray.

Amen.

Prayer, day 2090: Feeding the 5000

Almighty God,
we thank You for sheltering us through the night,
and watching over us with a love that never fades:
accept our prayers and praises,
and guide us in holiness this day.

Blessed Savior, you fed the multitudes in the wilderness:
likewise, you sustain us and nourish us
with the sweetness of your commandments,
which melt on the tongue like honey,
and revive and restore our souls.
May we follow in your path of compassion and healing today, Lord Christ,
and seek reconciliation and justice,
rooted in your abundant mercy living in our hearts.

We find our center within the shelter of your embrace,
O Blessed Trinity,
O Creating, Redeeming, Life-Giving One.
Consecrate us, O Holy Spirit,
as faithful witnesses to God's abundance
in all our journeys today.
Shine the light of your countenance, O Holy One,
upon all who call upon you in joy or trouble.

Amen.
