Holy God, Heavenly One, we bless and praise your Holy Name, and offer our joyful thanks for all your blessings. Fill our spirits with the light of your truth, O God, that we may perceive your love and wisdom in our lives. Abide with us through all our journeys, and guide us in all our steps, O Lord of Life. Forgive us all our sins, and strengthen us to walk in the ways of righteousness, charity, and service, we pray. Upheld by your steadfast love, Lord Christ, may we carry your gospel into the world by its radiance shining from our lives. Holy One, bless and keep us in the faith today, and grant your benediction t those we now name.

Almighty God, You created us in freedom, and called us to live in truth: may all that we do bring glory to your Name. You sent us martyrs and prophets, such as the Rev. Dr. King, to call us again to live in covenant and mutuality with each other. 

Prosper the work of those who seek to heal the divides among us, and forgive us for when we have failed to honor each other. May we never forget that to love each other is to love You, and join hands and hearts in brotherhood with all your children. Let us remember that the kingdom of God is our neighborhood, and build our foundations on justice and equality. Let us sit together at the table of fellowship, and share each other's joys and hardships. 

Bind the hearts of those who sorrow, and build the strength of those who are bowed down, O Holy One. Look with favor upon those who call upon You, especially those we now name.

For discernment/Annual meetings

O Gracious God, we are your people, and we ask that you guide us this day to do your will. Make of us a priestly people, dedicated to the ministry you have called each of us to do. 

Give us wisdom and love in equal measure, that we may know how, as well as why, we are to follow your path. 

Let us clasp hands around your altar as one people, dedicated to the shared vision of building your kingdom. Let us go forth then to be your disciples, nourished by the love that draws us together. 

Let us tend the sick, the sorrowing, the weak, and the lost in your Name, with joy in our labors and praise on our lips.

O Loving Savior, You are with us always: send, we pray, a special blessing upon those we now name.

Creator God, come shine your light through us, that we may be enlightened and strengthened in our path through this day. Drive far from us all hardness of heart, and guide us to seek reconciliation and amity. 

Come, Lord, place your hand of peace upon those who are in strained relationships, or are alienated from those who love them. 

Come, Jesus, place your hand of power among us, that we may work in fellowship with the oppressed. 

Come, Holy Spirit, and place your hand of healing upon all who are needful, in mind, body, or spirit.

Precious Savior, let us be drawn into the embrace of your outstretched arms, that we may seek to embody your love in the world. 

Let us remember our many blessings, and give You thanks and praise for your immeasurable grace. Let us hear again your call to compassion and mercy, that we live out the wisdom of God in the world. 

Unite our hearts and minds in love, rooted in your truth, O Spirit of the Living God. Let us open our hearts, to renounce bitterness and rancor, and to ask forgiveness for sins and strength for renewal in faith. 

Holy One, cover us in your mantle of peace, and grant comfort and fortitude to those we now name.

Most Merciful God, we lift our wakening hearts to You, and sing our praises and gratitude with the rising sun. God is our haven and resting-place: may we find our rest in You, O God, that, strengthened and renewed, we greet the day. 

Fill us with the power and light of the Holy Spirit, that we may shine forth the love of Christ into the world today. Hallow us and fill us with your loving-kindness, Lord Jesus, that we may walk in your ways and in your love, we pray. 

Consecrate our hearts and our hands, O Holy One, to do your work or healing in the world. Send your holy angels to guard us, O God, and place the kiss of peace upon those for whom we pray.

Holy, Holy Lord, encircle us in your mercy today, we humbly pray. Let us remember the blessings You have given us, and be joyful and grateful always. 

Lord Christ, we are known as your own when we live the life you modelled for us: open our hearts to live out your mercy. We thank You for taking us by the hand, and calling us to new life in hope and love. Help us to stand firm in faith, and grant us wisdom and courage to live out a life of steadfast loving-kindness and peace. Help us to live out your gospel in our lives, and use our resources to protect the weak and comfort the distressed. 

Blessed Savior, stretch out your hand of blessing over us, and especially over those for whom we now pray.

Holy One, we thank You for watching over us through the night and bringing us to the undiscovered land of this day. In each step we take, may we be mindful of our God beside us. May we hear You call our names, lovingly and tenderly, whenever we feel lost or adrift. Make us bold to call upon You, O God, and accept the joys of discipleship. Let us treat this Earth with love and reverence, that we may honor your creation as gift and blessing. May we heed your call to justice for all people, and tear down the walls of fear that divide us. We thank you for preserving us through the trials we encounter, for You are with us always. Send your Holy Spirit as a source of respite, healing, and comfort, especially to these for whom we now pray.

Prayer, day 1084

Lord Christ, give us a song of praise to enshrine in our hearts, and let us draw close to You in all our ways. In humble prayer we ask your forgiveness for all the wrongs we have done, and ask You to set us again upon the path of hope. 

Help us to treasure and celebrate the worth of every person, despite their and our own flaws, as You love us, O Creator. Bind up the hearts of those who mourn, and dry the tear of those who weep, O Healer. 

Pour your blessing like a balm over the heads of those who seek your help, O Sustainer. May the Spirit of Healing move over the turbulent waters of our lives as the Spirit moved over the deep at the dawn of time.

Most Merciful God, we praise You and we thank You for your saving deeds: come, let us worship the Lord in the sanctuary! Holy One, gather us around thy table, and accept our offered hearts as we seek to dedicate ourselves to thy Word. 

The Earth is yours and all that is in it: let us honor each other as beloved children of God, and honor You in all our thoughts. May a Spirit of Truth and Reconciliation enter into our hearts, that all our ways be filled with mercy and compassion. 

Lord Jesus, fill our hearts with light and renew a right spirit within us, and bless all those whom we lift before you as we pray.

Almighty God, You are our God, and we give thanks for your boundless grace and kindness. 

Hold us fast, O Holy One, from storms that rage both within and without, for we are lambs of your sheepfold, and You call us each by name. 
Warm us with the fires of wisdom, O God, as winter's chill settles like a blanket upon the land. 
Forgive our headstrong ways, we pray: may we put aside all fear and rancor, and let our sins be carried away like smoke on the hilltops.

The Holy Family.

Lord Jesus Christ, we lift our hearts to you, that you may prepare them and plant in them your wisdom and truth. Let us rise to give thanks for our God for all your care of us through the night, and for your guidance throughout the day. 

Holy One, bring your people together in love and strength of heart. May we deal charitably and peaceably with each other, and welcome each other in Your Holy Name. 

Send forth the Holy Spirit to unite us to your will, O God, and to inflame us with that same mercy you have freely given to us. Bless and keep all those who are in distress or sorrow; let you love wash over us as a healing balm. 

Blessed Savior, open our hearts to receive your blessing, and anoint and protect those we now name.

O God, there is a race before us to run today. Make us quick to love and encourage those we meet. Help us be swift to praise you for all your blessings. Hold us fast in the hollow of your hand. Prayer for Epiphany

We turn our eyes to the rising Light of Christ, that we may be guided into wisdom and truth. Lord, we give you thanks for being our home throughout all our wandering ways. 

Wonderful Counselor, may our eyes and hearts be opened to receive your truth, your grace, and your peace. May we kneel before you in joy and hope, O Prince of Peace, offering you all that we have and are and hope to be. May we carry the good news of salvation, Lord Christ, and be filled with rejoicing throughout all the lands and nations. Guided by the Holy Spirit, may justice and peace kiss, and may we join hands in unity, faithfulness and steadfast love. 

Holy One, we offer you the prayers of those we love, and ask that you bless and comfort them.

Merciful God, help us to be the action You seek in the world. Help us to bring your kingdom to life in each step we take today. Help us to spread your love in each heart we touch today. Come Holy Spirit, and heal our hearts. Bring us together, unified in body, heart, and soul, to soothe the sorrowing and comfort the afflicted. Give us hands and hearts and will to do your work, O God, that justice rolls down to restore the land. May we seek reconciliation as the foundation for true peace in both our relationships and in the world. Almighty God, we gather in your courts, worshiping you in heart, mind and unity, praising You for your goodness and mercy. Let us gather to give thanks to our God, whose mercy endures forever.

May we bear each others' hopes and fears in gentleness and care, and turn away from anger, malice, and greed. Lord, we thank You for your goodness and mercy to us, and raise our hearts to You in love and gratitude. 

May we resolve to set our hearts upon the path of compassion and care for all living things. 

May we treat the hearts we encounter gently and with respect, for all are made in the image of God. 

May we welcome the stranger, the homeless, the refugee, remembering the example of our Lord and Savior. 

May we seek forgiveness intentionally, remorseful for the times we have failed to care for ourselves, each other, and your creation. 

May we turn toward the light of Christ and be filled in body mind and soul, fired by the Holy Spirit to mend our ways. 

Guide us, O Shepherd, and extend the warmth of your protection to those we now name.

New Year's Day/ Feast of the Holy Name
O God, our times are in your hand, and we thank You for your continued blessings and mercy. As we remember the dedication of your Son in the Temple, may we rededicate ourselves anew to being true disciples of your Way. We praise You, O Holy One, for You are the source and ground of all our being: thank You, O God. There is not one moment that we have that was not first given to us by You and imbued with your care for us: thank You, O God. You have called us each by name, and given us a Savior whose love never fails: thank You, O God. You have named us as your beloved children and called us to be a holy, loving people: thank You, O God. Give us grace to do your will in all we undertake, O Loving One, that your Name may be glorified before the eyes of the world. Give us the courage to act in justice, mercy, wisdom, empathy, and peace throughout the coming year. Bless and keep those who put their hope in You, O Holy One, especially those we now name.

Prayer 1073- New Year's Eve

Our hope is firmly fixed on the Lord, maker of Heaven and Earth, who is our rock and our shield. Let us give thanks to God for the manifold mercies showered upon us. 

Holy One, draw us into thy safekeeping, and guide us with thy loving hand. 
May the hearths of our hearts be kindled with the flame of praise and worship, and our prayers rise to You like smoke on a winter wind. 
May we shine forth into the darkness with the light of Christ, and take up gentleness and compassion as our shield. 
May we rejoice in our common humanity, implanted within us at creation, and bring love to full flower in our lives. 

Send forth your angels, O Holy One, to guide and direct our steps, and tend to those who call upon You.
