Lord of Life and Light,
we give thanks for your drawing us safely
into the embrace of this new day.
You have placed us at the center
of a delicately filigreed web of life
carved by your own hand, O Infinite Wisdom.
We give thanks for the beauty that sustains our spirits
and for the infinite mercies that trail behind us,
our stepping stones toward deeper devotion to You,
O Christ our Savior.
