Most Merciful God,
with one voice we sing your praise,
grateful for your blessings without number:
may we place ourselves wholly in your service,
and dedicate our strength
to fulfilling your call of love and selflessness.
May we declare our intention, Holy One,
to embody your witness in the world.
May we stand in solidarity with the vulnerable,
and build a more perfect union
founded on compassion and caring for each other,
on welcoming the strangers and refugees in our midst,
on feeding the hungry and loving each other.
May our faith make us brave and valiant,
hopeful and resolute,
knowing you are with us always, O God.
Pour out your wisdom upon us,
O Shepherd of Our Souls,
that we be guided by the virtues
of charity and open-heartedness,
walking in the Way of Love.
Grant your benediction upon us,
and let your mercy embrace all the concerns
which we lay before you as we pray.
