Almighty God,
we bow before You in gratitude:
as the sun calls us from sleep,
our first thoughts are of your goodness.
Precious Savior,
you are our portion and our cup;
you are our verdant pasture and our warming hearth:
in you we find our home.
Take us by the hand and lead us,
O Holy Spirit,
that we may honor you in all our lives,
that each word may be a testimony to your grace,
and each action a holy offering to your glory.
Purify us by the Holy Spirit,
and set our hearts ablaze with love and compassion,
O Lord of Life and Captain of Our Souls.
Holy One, we rest within your embrace:
gather under the shelter of your mercy
all those whom we remember before You,
as we humbly pray.
