Prayer, day 2499

Holy One, 
we lift our hearts to You 
in praise and thanksgiving. 

Envelop us in your light, O God, 
that your radiance may shine 
through us 
into the world. 

Make us bearers of your gospel 
with each step we take, 
and worthy disciples in your Way. 

Purify our hearts 
of all malice, enmity, or carelessness, 
and forgive us our offenses, 
as well as those done in our name. 

Open our spirits to receive your truth 
as we await the coming of your Son, O Almighty One. 

Bend near to those who call upon you, Merciful God, 
and accept our prayers.
