Holy One,
the beauty of your handiwork dances before our eyes
like shook foil: receive our humble prayers
of thanks and praise!
For rain that softens the winter-cold Earth,
we give you thanks.
For music that breathes its blessing
through soft pine branches
on the salty-sweet ocean air,
we give you thanks.
For the blessing of home and hearth,
for the kindness of strangers
and the kinship of all living things,
we give you praise.
For the approaching Prince of Peace,
whose way is pure and compassionate,
hallowing our poor flesh with God’s own only-begotten,
we bow in humble awe.
God of All, bend near
to hear our whispered intercessions,
and gather within your surpassing peace
all those for whom we pray.
