Holy One, we praise You
for watching over us tenderly
as a Mother watches over her children:
receive our humble prayers and praise.
We lift our hearts to our God,
whose mercy endures forever,
and whose love stands fast as the mountains!
Take us by the hand, O Christ,
and guide us into right pathways,
for your Name's sake:
may we open our hearts
to cherish your commandments and wisdom.
Enveloped in your compassion,
carry us on streams of holiness,
O Christ of the Rising Wave,
for the sea is so vast
and your loving kindness is our compass.
By the power of the Holy Spirit,
anoint us to your service,
that we may witness to your grace and healing today.
Your love, O God, is our firm foundation:
press the kiss of your blessing upon all who rest in your care.
