Prayer 1619: the 4th Sunday after Pentecost A

Preaching at Church of the Good Shepherd today. Photo by Bill Scoopmire.

Almighty God,
Earth-maker,
Redeemer,
Life-Giver,
we gather before your altars
to praise and thank You today.

You have taught us the way to be fully alive in God,
and our blessings are without number.
Remind us that our independence rests upon the knowledge
that we are called to unity and the common good.

Your arms open before us, Blessed Jesus,
may we open our arms to you,
and draw you to our hearts.

Gather within your welcoming embrace, Lord,
all those who seek You
and strengthen all who serve You.
Anoint us with your Spirit,
and grant your peace to all whose needs we lay before You.

Amen.
