Prayer 1537: Monday of Holy Week

Summer snowdrops at the Missouri Botanical Garden.

Holy One, create in us clean hearts,
that we may bow before You in hope and in praise
remembering your abundant grace.

Forgive us our offenses,
for denying your love and goodness in ourselves,
and in each other.
Let us live this day in Christ,
abiding in his everlasting mercy, healing, and love.

Lord, you have made us your own:
let us never separate ourselves from You or each other.
As the first bird of the morning sings dawn into being,
let our lives also sing of your faithfulness, O God.

Renew us by the power of the Holy Spirit,
we humbly pray,
and pour the balm of healing over all we hold dear.

Amen.
