Prayer 1014- All Souls' Day (inspired by Julian of Norwich)

My dad and his twin brother, who would be 93 years old in just a few days if they were both still with us.

We lift our hearts to You, O Holy One: Earth-Maker, Pain-Bearer, and Life- Giver.

Spirit of Love, we offer to You the beloved memory of our loved ones who have gone to their rest in You. Let us be thankful for the gifts they have planted in our hearts, and root out any resentments we harbor of their failures. May we all live in love today, that we may rest in peace and joy with the beloved cloud of witnesses in united in heaven and on earth.

Let us live in truth, that we may see God in all the works under heaven. Let us live in wisdom, that we may contemplate God, and draw closer in unity with God. May truth and wisdom meet in our lives, and make us the love of God, to build the kingdom of heaven in the world.
May we be united with Christ through prayer in this life, that we may dwell in eternal love in the world to come.
Let us be born anew each day in Christ, our true Mother, who feeds us from his own body and bears us into life.

And now, Holy One, remembering your mercy and loving-kindness which never fails, we offer our prayers, anchored in hope.

Amen.
