| Today, the Rt. Rev. Michael Curry is installed as Presiding Bishop of the Episcopal Church. May he lead us in paths of wisdom and inspire us with zeal for the Gospel. |
Lord Jesus, we praise and bless your holy name, and give thanks for all our blessings.
As we draw together in your courts, we remember all the saints of God who continue to witness to us and lead us on pathways of peace.
Guide and guard those who lead us, and awaken in us all spirits of compassion and discipleship.
We remember our loved ones who rest in peace, and ask that you send your angels to comfort those who mourn.
We ask to stay with You, O Holy One, even through the close of day, opening our hearts to a full blooming of your Word in our lives.
Spread the mantle of your mercy over those who come before You, O God, and keep us in ways of justice and truth. Almighty One, we commend to You all who have need of your aid.
