Prayer 869

Mary, Mother of God.

The heavens sing their praises to God, and all creation joins in the song as we pray to You, O God: Creator, Redeemer, and Sanctifier.

May your word be to us as the scent of jasmine that is carried by the cool night breezes: may it envelop us in wonder and peace. May we walk in love beside You, Lord Christ, united in our desire to serve You in hope and joy.

We ask your healing of our sins and of our past hurts, that we may lay bare our hearts and love You and each other fully and fearlessly. We turn to You, O Holy One, as the Light of all Goodness and Peace, and invite you to dwell within us that we may radiate your truth into the world.

Bless and keep all those who are ill, and strengthen all who seek to help them: doctors, nurses, caregivers, and friends. Stretch out your hand, O God, over all who call upon You.

Amen.
