Almighty One,
God of Mary and Elizabeth,
bend near to us
and accept our praises and prayers.
Blessed One,
help us center ourselves in your wisdom,
and work toward justice and freedom for the oppressed.
May we stand against violence done in our name,
and see the face of Christ
in the suffering and dehumanized among us.
May we sing a praise song to You, O God,
extolling your mighty arm and righteous power
against evil and exploitation.
Beloved Savior,
grant us a spirit of justice
and power to stand alongside the downtrodden
and work to bring your kingdom on Earth.
Give your angels charge over those who weep, worry, or mourn,
and grant your blessing upon these for whom we pray.
Amen.
