Most Merciful God,
by your loving hand you have gathered the forsaken,
and called us to embrace each other in love:
accept our praise and petition,
as we witness to your glory this day.
Beloved Savior, we repent
of all that severs us one from another:
our misuse of creation;
our hard-heartedness, contempt, and fear;
our silence in the face of aggression and malice;
our bargains with cruelty in the hope of profit.
Forgive, forgive, forgive,
and strengthen our wills through the balm of love,
that we may be resolute in our defense of good.
Spirit of the Living God,
create in us fresh pools of compassion and wisdom,
that we may be instruments of healing and hope
in the Name of our God.
Pour out your favor over all who seek You, O God,
and grant your blessing upon all for whom we pray.
