We bow before You, O Creator,
as you shape the stars into patterns
and set them spinning above us
to guide us and draw us into wonder and praise.
Our souls sing out to You, O Savior!
In the cradle of our hearts, dear Jesus,
may we welcome You
and make You a home.
Make us seekers of wisdom and truth
lying newborn before us,
that we may grow in compassion and mercy
and carry the light of your gospel before us.
Refresh our spirits in charity and grace,
and breathe new joy
into the embers of our souls,
O Breath of God.
Grant the blessing
of your peace and comfort, Lord Christ,
upon all those for whom we pray.
