Prayer 1682- Thirteenth Sunday after Pentecost

Blessed Jesus,
our companion on all our ways,
we come before your altars in joy and praise.

We offer our lives to You
to continue your work of healing and mercy in the world, O Redeemer.
We remember your arms held open to embrace the whole world
and your empathy for the poor and outcast.
Teach us to overcome evil with good, O Savior,
and give all our lives into your service.
Lead us in paths of empathy and grace, O God,
that your wondrous love is revealed for all.

Make us into a community of grace
formed and powered by love
by the power of your Spirit.
Abide with us and within us, Lord Christ,
and bless and keep those for whom we pray.

Amen.
