O God of peace, awaken our souls to the glory of your creation, and let our praises and prayers rise to You.
From the cool light of morning to our lying down in peace, let our minds be firmly fixed upon doing your will. Let our actions be our testimony to your greatness and love, O Holy One. Let our words be gentle and our backs be strong, that we may serve You with joy and gladness.
Drive far from us all contention and strife, that your Spirit of wisdom guide us in paths of compassion and grace. Watch over your children with a tender hand, Lord Christ, and press your kiss of blessing upon those we now name.
