Our lips pour forth the praise of God, whose mercy and love endure forever! You have stood watch over us, O God, in times of trouble, and we rest under the shadow of your wings. You have been with us through the tempests that beset us; Your Love never sleeps. Abide with us and shield us, Loving One, from whatever trials may await us today. Give us a spirit of peace and forbearance for those who wish us ill and joy for those who love us. Give us healing from the injuries and sorrows we have borne, and compassion for others in their afflictions. And spread your mercy before us like a banquet, especially for these for whom we pray today.
