Holy One,
your voice calls to us lovingly,
claiming us as your children:
we worship you in the beauty of holiness
and praise your name with all our being.
As our Savior was baptized
and began his work among us through prayer,
we lift our heart to You in prayer, O God,
and embrace your will in our lives.
You have claimed us as your own;
you are acquainted with all our ways:
let us remember our baptism
and dedicate ourselves to the work of healing,
of reconciliation and compassion for all.
Almighty God, Merciful Redeemer,
send your Spirit upon us
that we may be anointed to our service of witness
and embody Christ's example of holiness in the world.
Bless and keep those
who turn to you in hope and trust, O God,
and lay your hand of protection of comfort
on those for whom we pray.
