Almighty God,
we gather around your altars
offering you our thanks and praise,
our souls and our hearts overflowing with gratitude.
Lord Jesus, help us to lay down our lives
of scarcity, of fear, of anxiety,
and take up the abundant life
of compassion and love
that you offer us through your grace.
Help us to proclaim who you are to the world, O Savior,
through our words, our attitudes, and our actions,
healing and reconciling in your name
that the world may know your presence always.
Send your Spirit upon us, O Holy One,
and make us seekers of wisdom and beacons of hope--
bearers of God's goodness to all people.
Shine the light of your countenance upon us, O God,
and bless and strengthen those for whom we pray.
