Abiding, Merciful God,
we gather around your altars
to sing out our praise to you
and recall all the blessings received
from your generous heart.
Open our hearts to your call to love, O Holy One,
that we may reflect that love in all we do.
Open our eyes to see your grace in every moment,
in every person we encounter.
Open our mouths to sing out your praise
that we may witness to you with every word
spoken in gentleness and truth.
Trusting in your tender love, Lord Christ,
we commend to you these beloveds,
and ask your blessing upon those for whom we pray.
