Prayer 1926: The Sixth Sunday of Easter
O God, we gather before you in prayer and worship,
drawn before You in love.
As we rise from our beds and journey to your altar, O Creator,
let us sing to the Lord a new song,
for God is doing marvelous things!
May we rejoice in your commandment of love, Blessed Savior,
and serve God and each other in gentleness and hope.
Make us a priestly people,
guided and anointed by the power of the Holy Spirit,
that we may serve God and each other
for the life of the world.
Trusting in your abundant grace,
O Creator and Redeemer,
we ask your blessing upon those needs that weigh upon our hearts.
Envelop your children in a cloud of comfort, O God,
and place your hand upon those for whom we pray.
Amen.
