Lord Jesus, we come before You with humble hearts: heal and unite us, that we may tend each other in love and compassion. Help us to turn aside from all that divides us, and work instead to the glory of your name, O Spirit of Truth. Rejoicing in our common fellowship, help us to overcome what divides us and work for the good of all.
Give us generous and faithful hearts: make us righteous rather than self-righteous. Guide us to root out all hatred and bigotry, O God, and seek a more excellent way of mercy and tender compassion for our neighbors. In all we do, let us do our work with joy, hope, and faithfulness, turning away from anger, resentment, or despair.
Holy One, pour out your blessing and anoint us with your grace, and shine the light of your countenance on those for whom we pray.
Amen.
