In silent reverence, we bow before You, O Almighty and Merciful God, Creator of heaven and earth. Lord Christ, we long for your embrace: guard and guide us this day, we pray. Let our hearts be set ablaze by the power of the Holy Spirit to walk in wisdom and holiness.
Let us hold fast to hope, united in Christ and with one another, borne upon the wings of love into the arms of our Redeemer. Let us seek the common good, giving of ourselves in hopefulness, loving and being loved by those around us without reservation. Let us be uplifted by faith and strengthened in faithfulness, pledging ourselves to the work of justice and peace.
Holy One, we lift before you the cry of the oppressed and the mourning, the suffering and the fearful: place your hand of blessing upon them.
