Prayer 633
Our light and hope is in the Lord, who calls us each by name, tenderly as God's very own. We bless You, O God, for your mercy; we confess our stubborn disobedience and our pride, and are truly sorry. May we hear your call of reconciling love, and have compassion on those who provoke us or have sinned against us. Open our eyes to the beauty of your creation; help us see the face of Christ in all whom we meet. Open our hearts and minds to your wisdom and truth, that we may have joy in this new day. Give shelter to those who need respite or comfort from any pain or trouble, and send your angels to soothe the suffering. Knowing You are always with us, whether rejoicing or weeping, we ask your blessing and comfort on those we now name.
Amen.
