O God, You are my shade and shield: You walk beside me in all my journeys.
Before You my troubles yield: turn your face to me, O Holy One.
You lift me above the turbulent waves, and bear me upon the wings of hope.
When I waken in the night, your angels are at my bedside.
I have only to look up, and know your help is always near; my fears all flee away.
Make my heart a sanctuary, holy, pure, and true, for your hand rests upon me in blessing, and I am glad indeed.
Let my words and actions sing out your praise, O Lord, my soul ascending on the morning breeze.
May my prayers ascend as incense before You, O Love Divine, and look with favor upon these who wait upon You.
