Advent Prayer 6 (Day 320)

Protect us, O God, for we take refuge in You: You are our shelter from the storms that rage within and without. 

Let us seek out our Savior, who draws ever nearer to us. Let us return to the outstretched arms of Christ at table and on the cross. Let us take strength in the embrace of the Almighty, and carry the banner of Love into the coldest corners of our hearts. Let us walk with Christ, whose footsteps are alongside us as companion and friend, whose love never ends. Make of us a living sacrifice, a holy people made a light unto the darkness, singing praises for the mercy of God. 

Your hand, O God, shields us and holds us; extend your tender care over us, and those for whom we pray.
